Sea Fury Privacy and Security Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect information needed to operate Sea Fury:

• Account information: username, email address, securely hashed password, account identifier, and account creation details.
• Game information: character names, progress, inventory, statistics, guild membership, friends lists, playtime, login history, and moderation records.
• Registration IP address: used to identify the country where an account was created.
• Chat information: messages and associated usernames.
• Operational logs: records needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
• Support information: messages you send us and information provided to verify account ownership.
• Marketing preferences: whether you have opted in to or unsubscribed from optional promotional emails.

Sea Fury has no advertisements or in-game purchases. Unity crash reporting is disabled.

We do not sell player information or share it for advertising.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• Create and maintain accounts.
• Provide multiplayer gameplay and save progress.
• Recover account access and process email changes.
• Respond to support and deletion requests.
• Investigate cheating, abuse, and security incidents.
• Enforce game rules and maintain service reliability.
• Send essential account communications and optional marketing messages where you have opted in.

Where applicable, our legal bases are performance of our agreement with you for account and game services, legitimate interests for proportionate security, moderation, troubleshooting, and support, consent for optional marketing, and compliance with legal obligations.

3. Registration, email, and password recovery

A username, password, and email address are required to create an account.

We do not verify email ownership at registration. You should provide an accurate email address that you control and keep it up to date.

An incorrect or inaccessible email address may prevent password recovery or account deletion through the normal process. Using someone else’s email address may allow that person to receive account recovery credentials.

Password recovery generates a new password and sends it to the registered email address. Changing your email requires your current password and email confirmation.

If you cannot access your registered email, contact support@seafury.org. We may request account creation details and the country of registration to help verify ownership. Assistance depends on successful verification.

Keep your credentials confidential and report suspected unauthorized access promptly. Account sharing is prohibited by our game rules.

4. Information visible to other players

Usernames, character names, rankings, guild information, and player profiles may be visible to other players.

Chat messages are visible to participants in the relevant chat channel. Avoid posting personal or sensitive information in chat or public profile fields.

5. Account emails and optional marketing

We send emails needed for password recovery, account verification, security, and essential service communications.

We may also send optional Sea Fury news, updates, and promotional messages if you separately opt in. Marketing consent is not required to register or play.

You can withdraw consent using the unsubscribe link in promotional emails or by contacting support@seafury.org. Unsubscribing does not prevent necessary account or security messages.

We retain marketing preferences while your subscription is active and may retain the minimum unsubscribe record needed to respect your choice.

6. Service providers and disclosure

Our game servers are hosted by Hetzner in Germany.

We use Brevo to deliver emails. Brevo processes recipient email addresses, email contents, and associated delivery information. Provider-held records are subject to the retention settings and terms applicable to our Brevo service.

Service providers may process information needed to deliver their services. Processing locations depend on the provider and service configuration.

We may disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect players, or establish or defend legal claims, subject to applicable law.

7. Third-party links

Our website and game may contain links to external websites or services, including Discord.

These services operate independently and have their own privacy policies and terms. We do not control their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

This does not limit our responsibilities for providers processing information on our behalf.

8. Retention

We retain information for the following periods:

Account information, game records, and registration IP addresses

While your account exists

Chat messages and operational logs

One month

Backups

Up to one month

Email-provider records and marketing preferences are handled as described above. If applicable law requires longer retention of specific records, we retain only the information needed for that obligation.

10. Suspension and termination

We may investigate suspected cheating, unauthorized automation, account sharing, harassment, fraud, exploitation of vulnerabilities, or other violations of game rules.

Where reasonably necessary, we may issue warnings, restrict features, temporarily suspend accounts, or terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations.

Immediate restrictions may be applied to address urgent security risks or ongoing abuse. Where appropriate, we will explain the restriction. You may request a review by contacting support@seafury.org.

Suspension does not automatically delete an account or remove rights granted by applicable law.

11. Security and service limitations

We use encrypted connections, securely hashed passwords, and restricted administrative access to protect player information.

No online service can guarantee complete security, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or permanent preservation of game progress. Sea Fury may experience maintenance, outages, technical errors, or security incidents.

Players should protect their credentials and maintain access to their registered email address.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ITS SYSTEMS is not responsible for losses caused solely by a player’s account sharing, disclosure of credentials, or failure to maintain access to their registered email address.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits responsibilities or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable data protection obligations and mandatory consumer rights.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to:

• Access and correct your personal information.
• Request deletion.
• Receive a portable copy of eligible information.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
• Complain to a data protection authority.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

13. Minimum age

Sea Fury is intended for players aged 16 and older. Players under 16 should not create accounts.

Contact support@seafury.org if you believe an underage player has provided information to us.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or information practices change. We will publish the updated version with a revised effective date and provide additional notice or request consent where required.
